Simple Moreish Chicken

What's better than a happy and lively chicken dish? Well, tender and juicy breast meat of course. If you're looking for that perfect dinner tonight then this is it! The simple chicken dish by microwave is so easy. It's quick to make with minimal washing up - what more could one ask for?

Ingredients

  • 200 g Chicken breast
  • 1 tbsp Cooking sake (Alt. White Wine)
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • ¼ Spring Onion

Sauce

  • 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar (Alt. White Vinegar)
  • 1 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Chilli oil
  • 1 tsp Garlic (Grated or Minced)

Chicken

  • Poke the chicken breast by fork in a couple of places
    200 g Chicken breast
  • Place the chicken breast into a microwave safe bowl or plate then add cooking sake and sugar. Massage the chicken for 30 secs
    200 g Chicken breast, 1 tsp Sugar, 1 tbsp Cooking sake
  • Cover the bowl by cling wrap loosely and cook in a microware (600w) for 3 mins.
    800w > 2 mins 15 secs
    1000w > 1 min 50 secs
  • =CAUTION: Glassware is very hot=
    Take the bowl out from the microwave then turn the chicken over.
    Cover the bowl by cling wrap loosely and cook in a microwave (600w) for another 3 mins.

    1000w > 1 min 50 secs

Sauce

  • Put all ingredients for sauce into a clean bowl then mix well
    1 tbsp Soy Sauce, 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar, 1 tbsp Sugar, 1 tbsp Chilli oil, 1 tsp Garlic
  • Chop spiring onions finely
    ¼ Spring Onion

Serving

  • Slice the chicken breast to around 5mm thickness then serve on a plate. Pour the sauce over the chicken.
